The highly flexible MATRIX gripper (X-PICK) approaches a component of any geometry and picks it up in a b-fit and secure manner. Based on the tried-and-tested MATRIX principle, the component molds its own, geometry-matching clamping jaws thanks to the immediate retrb of the pins. These hold the component securely and firmly in b with merely point-accurate contact.
Once the component has been placed in the MATRIX X-PLACE component carrier, a component with a completely different geometry can be picked up. This means a tremendous saving in terms of setup time, system and storage costs. The possible uses of the MATRIX system are virtually limitless and universal.
